FINALLY, today, nearly the last of all our venues are booked for the Season 2 events.
This is the schedule of events for the next two weeks. Please note the dates/times carefully and do what you can to attend any/all of the following. These first few weeks are the most important.
- Wed, Oct 7 - Press Kit issued to advisory board and volunteers for distribution to individual press contacts. Kit will include press release, 8.5x11 poster, windshield/church flyers, sponsorship application, photos, psa copy and general info. Please distribute any or all of these items in any creative way you can think and please report your distribution so that we do not overlap our efforts. HOWEVER, I'd rather have the Sentinel get 3 press kits than none, so don't worry about WHERE you distribute the material, just distribute it! also on Oct 7 at 4pm I will be announcing the new season at the Fitchburg mayor's press conference at City Hall. Any who would like to join me wearing their Good-Wil shirt (I will also have a few on hand) I'd love to have you there.
- Thur, Oct 8, 6pm, AND
- Thur Oct 15, 6pm - Advisory Board Season Launch Meetings Woodblock Conference Room, 14 Monument Square, Leominster, rear entrance. Now that our pins are set up, we need to get the ball rolling. All hands on deck. Don't worry, from now on there will only be one advisory board meeting a month.
- OPENING WEEKEND EVENTS:
- Friday, Oct 16, 7pm, NAKED VOICE* (* Clothing not optional.) concert at Christ Church, 569 Main Street, Fitchburg. An a capella sing-thru of the upcoming 'Wild Archangel" album. No band. Just my voice, lyrics, and melody in the acoustic cathedral at Christ Church. This is essentially a public adjudication of the album material. Concert goers will have a unique opportunity to participate in the album development process by rating the work and offering feedback. This concert will be recorded. Tickets $10 at the door.
- Saturday, Oct 17, 7pm, Good-Wil Season 2 Opening Cocktail Reception at the Monument Grill. I will be performing with my trio beginning at 8pm. Please come and network with the members of the Season 2 Good-Wil Initiative! Encourage others who may be interested in the Initiative to attend.
- Sunday, Oct 18, 10am-1pm, Good-Wil Sunday Music Brunch at Leominster High School 122 Granite Street, Leominster. The first brunch occurrs at LHS in association with Chartwells and the faculty of LHS. Music by the Wil Darcangelo Band. Brunch buffet. Vendors & Raffles. Tickets are $10 seniors & kids 5-12, $15 adults, under 5 free. Available at the door.
More information to follow about the new season. We still need a venue for the Gardner Holiday and Spring concerts (Dec 4 & Mar 19), and need to fill out the permits for the street festival in June, but all other venues are secured.
